WHAT DO I STUDY?
Most students will be required to study one of the following, depending on their grades and which course they wish to pursue:
- A 12 – 24 month University level foundation/diploma that will take the students directly into first or second year of University.
COURSE DURATIONS
Pre-University foundation programmes: 6-12 months. :
Undergraduate programmes:
Business, Computing and Art programmes: 3 years Law, Engineering, Education, Health and Human Science programmes:
4 Years Medicine, Architecture and Dentistry: 5- 6 Years.
Masters programmes: 1 –2 Years
Doctorate programmes: up to 3 Years.

COURSE COSTS
At Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate level, Business, Law, Art, Computing and IT Degree - tuition costs are approximately A$15 000 - A$18 000 per year. Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture, Health and Human Sciences Tuition costs are approximately A$15 000- A$24 000 per year. Medicine and Dentistry tuition costs are approximately A$40 000 per year.

LIVING EXPENSES
Living Expenses for a student in Australia range from A$15 000 - A$18 000 per year. This generally includes accommodation, food, local transport and limited entertainment etc.
ACCOMMODATION
There is a variety of accommodation to choose from.
We will help you decide which accommodation would suit your individual needs, whether on-campus or off-campus.
VISA
We will assist students with Australian Student visa counselling services. We will supply you with the visa application form, the rquirements list and any other necessary documents or information required, and lodge the visa at the Australian High Commission on your behalf. To secure a Visa, a student needs to prove to the Australian Government that they are genuine applicants with sufficient funds available through their sponsor, that their educational background is relevant, and that they will return to their home-country upon their graduation in Australia. The minimum processing time for a visa after lodgement at the Australian High Commission is 8-10 weeks. Each student visa is unique and not guaranteed. The final decision is made by the Australian High Commission.
MEDICAL INSURANCE As part of your Australian Student Visa requirements, all students must pay for compulsory Australian Medical Insurance. The current cost is approximately A$340 per year. This covers all in-patient treatments and can cover up to 80% of your out-patient costs. Dental and Optical as well as some other treatments, including Pharmaceuticals, are not covered. This can be covered by private health insurance for an additional fee.
WORK
Students are NOT permitted to work on a student visa. They can apply for a work permit that will allow them to work up to 20 hours a week during the semester and full time during holidays. The work permit costs A$80 and is only available in Australia. Work is not guaranteed. The money earned can help towards your daily living expenses but cannot support your fees or accommodation expenses.
